These breakers share the same physical dimensions and 200A rating, but they have different interrupting capacities. The QDA222003 is rated for 25kAIC at 240V, the QGA222003 is rated for 65kAIC, and the QJA222003 is rated for 100kAIC.
What does the 3 at the end of the QDA222003 catalog number indicate?
In Square D I-Line circuit breakers, the final digit indicates the phase connection. The 3 in QDA222003 means it is configured for a BA phase connection on the panelboard bus.
Can I install the QDA222003 in a standard Square D QO or Homeline load center?
No. The QDA222003 is an I-Line style plug-in breaker designed exclusively for Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It will not fit in QO, Homeline, NQ, or NF panels.
Is the QDA222003 rated for DC voltage applications?
No. Square D PowerPacT Q-frame circuit breakers, including the QDA222003, are designed exclusively for AC systems and are rated for up to 240VAC. They do not carry a DC voltage rating.
Does the QDA222003 feature a push-to-trip button?
Yes. Like all Square D PowerPacT circuit breakers, the QDA222003 includes an integral push-to-trip button on the cover. This allows you to manually trip the breaker for testing and maintenance purposes.
Can I adjust the trip settings on the QDA222003?
No. The QDA222003 features a thermal-magnetic trip unit with fixed long-time (thermal) and fixed instantaneous (magnetic) trip settings. It is not adjustable.
What wire sizes and materials are compatible with the QDA222003 lugs?
The factory-installed lugs on the QDA222003 accept 4 AWG through 300 kcmil wire. They are dual-rated for use with either aluminum or copper conductors.
Is the QDA222003 rated for 100 percent continuous current?
No. Like most standard molded case circuit breakers, the QDA222003 is rated for 80 percent continuous current. Continuous loads lasting 3 hours or more should not exceed 160 amps.

Expedited Shipments
