The FAP36035 is a legacy F-Frame molded case circuit breaker. For new installations or modern upgrades, Square D has replaced the F-Frame series with the PowerPact H-Frame family. Direct replacements typically include the HJA36035 or HJP36035, depending on your required interrupting capacity.
Will the FAP36035 fit into an I-Line panelboard?
No. The FAP36035 is a bolt-on circuit breaker designed for standard Square D panelboards and motor control centers. It does not have the plug-on jaw connections required for I-Line distribution panels. You must use an I-Line specific breaker for those enclosures.
Can I adjust the trip curve settings on the FAP36035?
No, the FAP36035 is built with fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip elements. The long-time and instantaneous trip functions are factory set. If your application requires adjustable trip settings, you will need to upgrade to a breaker equipped with a Micrologic electronic trip unit, such as a modern PowerPact breaker.
How can I verify the mechanical linkage of the FAP36035 is functioning?
The breaker features a push-to-trip button on the front faceplate. Pressing this button manually trips the breaker, allowing electricians to verify the mechanical linkage is operating correctly and to exercise the mechanism during routine maintenance.
Does the FAP36035 require a specific wire material?
The factory installed lugs are dual rated for both copper and aluminum conductors. Ensure you use the correct torque specifications printed on the breaker faceplate when terminating either wire type to prevent overheating at the connection points.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
