Part of the legacy F-frame series, the Square D FAL22030-1021 is a 2-pole, 30A molded case circuit breaker for commercial power distribution. This unit-mount breaker installs into Square D enclosures and switchboards. It is replaced by the newer PowerPact BDL26030 (requires shunt trip). Rated 10kAIC at 240VAC, it features fixed thermal-magnetic trip units. The "-1021" suffix denotes a factory-installed 120-240VAC shunt trip.Specifications

The -1021 suffix designates a factory-installed 120/240VAC shunt trip. This allows the breaker to be opened remotely via a control signal, which is commonly used for emergency stops or automated load shedding.
Can the FAL22030-1021 be installed in a Square D I-Line panelboard?
No. The FAL series features a unit-mount, lug-to-lug design intended for individual enclosures, switchboards, and control panels. It lacks the plug-on jaw connections required for I-Line bus systems.
How is the shunt trip wired on the FAL22030-1021?
The factory-installed shunt trip requires a separate 120VAC or 240VAC control power source. When the control circuit is energized, it activates the internal coil to mechanically trip the breaker.
How does the FAL22030-1021 indicate a tripped condition?
It features a Visi-Trip indicator. When the breaker trips due to an overcurrent or a shunt trip signal, the handle moves to a center position and a high-visibility red indicator appears in the window.

Expedited Shipments
