This bolt-on circuit breaker is designed for legacy Square D panelboards, switchboards, and individual enclosures that accept F-frame unit-mount breakers. It is not compatible with I-Line panelboards.
Is the Square D FHP36030 obsolete?
Yes, the FHP series is a legacy F-frame breaker and is no longer manufactured. For modernizing older systems, it is officially replaced by the newer PowerPact H-frame series, specifically the HGL36030.
What is the difference between the FHP and FAL series breakers?
The FHP series features a higher interrupting rating than the standard FAL series. While the standard FAL36030 is rated for 14kA at 600VAC, the FHP36030 provides up to 18kA at 600VAC and 65kA at 240VAC for high-fault environments.
Are the trip settings on the FHP36030 adjustable?
No, this breaker features a fixed thermal magnetic trip unit. Both the long-time overload protection and instantaneous short-circuit protection points are factory set and cannot be adjusted in the field.
Can I install the FHP36030 in an I-Line panelboard?
No, the FHP36030 is a unit-mount, bolt-on circuit breaker. It lacks the plug-on jaw connections required for Square D I-Line panelboards.

Expedited Shipments
