This I-Line style plug-in breaker is designed strictly for use in Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It will not fit in standard QO, NQ, or NF series load centers.
What conductor sizes are supported by the FI36030 terminals?
The breaker comes equipped with factory-installed lugs that accept 14 AWG to 1/0 AWG wire. The terminals are rated for both copper and aluminum conductors.
Is the FI36030 suitable for direct current applications?
Yes, this thermal-magnetic breaker is rated for DC applications up to 250VDC, where it provides an interrupting capacity of 10kA.
Is the Square D FI36030 a current production model?
No, this unit is part of the legacy F-Frame series. Schneider Electric recommends modern PowerPact H-Frame I-Line circuit breakers as the active production replacement for older F-Frame units.
What makes the FI series different from standard FA or FH frames?
The FI frame is categorized as a current-limiting circuit breaker. It delivers a much higher interrupting capacity, up to 200kA at 480VAC and 100kA at 600VAC, to aggressively limit let-through current during severe short-circuit faults.
Are the thermal or magnetic trip settings adjustable on this breaker?
No. The FI36030 utilizes fixed long-time and instantaneous trip functions. You cannot adjust the thermal overload threshold or the magnetic short-circuit pickup in the field.
How does this breaker connect to the panelboard bus?
It utilizes an I-Line style plug-in connection. The breaker features integral jaw connectors that snap directly onto the busbars of an I-Line panelboard, completely eliminating the need for individual bolted bus connections.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
