Is the Square D FI36070 still manufactured, or is there a modern replacement?
The FI36070 is a legacy F-Frame circuit breaker. In newer installations or when upgrading, it is typically replaced by the PowerPact H-Frame series, specifically the HRA36070 to maintain the 200kAIC rating at 480VAC.
What wire sizes are accepted by the lugs on the FI36070?
The factory lugs accept wire gauges from 14 AWG up to 1/0 AWG. They are rated for use with both copper and aluminum conductors.
What does the current limiting designation mean for this breaker?
As a current limiting breaker, the FI36070 is designed to clear a fault extremely fast, reducing the peak let-through current and energy. This provides enhanced protection for downstream equipment during high fault conditions.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
