Yes. Schneider Electric has evaluated older I-Line panelboards and switchboards and confirmed they share the same basic construction as current models. PowerPacT H-frame breakers are fully compatible with existing I-Line distribution equipment, provided the voltage and interrupting ratings meet your system requirements.
Does this I-Line breaker require wire terminations on both sides?
No. The I-Line design uses a plug-in connection for the line side, meaning wire terminations are only required on the load side. The load-side mechanical lugs accept 14 AWG to 3/0 AWG aluminum or copper conductors.
How can I manually test the tripping mechanism on this breaker?
All Square D PowerPacT circuit breakers are equipped with an integral push-to-trip button located on the front cover. Pressing this button manually trips the breaker, allowing you to verify that the mechanical linkage is functioning correctly before placing it into service.
How does the trip unit on the HJA260704 operate?
This breaker uses a thermal-magnetic trip unit that provides long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection. The thermal element responds to sustained overloads by heating a bimetallic strip, while the magnetic element responds immediately to high-level short circuits.
Can this 2-pole breaker be used in a single-phase I-Line panelboard?
Yes. While I-Line panelboards typically feature a 3-phase bus stack, this 2-pole breaker can be installed in single-phase applications. Always verify the specific phase connections required for your panelboard configuration before installation.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
