Utilizing advanced thermal-magnetic trip technology, this 15A MCCB safeguards commercial networks against overloads. The compact H-Frame design incorporates standard lug terminals for straightforward wire termination. This unit-mount device installs into Square D industrial control panels and functions as a main in NQ or NF panelboards. It effectively replaces discontinued FAL26015 legacy breakers. With a 65kAIC rating at 480VAC, the breaker ensures robust fault clearing.
What panels and enclosures are compatible with the HJL26015?
This unit-mount breaker is designed for use in Square D Industrial Control Panels, switchboards, and individual enclosures. It can also be used as a main breaker in NQ and NF panelboards.
Can the HJL26015 be used in DC applications?
Yes, this thermal-magnetic breaker is rated for up to 250VDC, making it suitable for direct current control circuits and industrial DC applications.
Is the HJL26015 suitable for reverse-fed applications?
Yes. Because it features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit, this breaker can be reverse fed. Breakers with field-interchangeable trip units cannot be reverse fed.
What is the standard replacement lug kit for the HJL26015?
The standard mechanical lug kit for 15A to 150A PowerPacT H-frame breakers is catalog number AL150HD, which accepts 14 AWG to 3/0 AWG aluminum or copper wire.
What does the J in the HJL26015 part number signify?
The J indicates the interrupting rating level of the PowerPacT H-frame breaker. It provides a high interrupting capacity of 65kA at 480VAC and 100kA at 240VAC, which is higher than the standard D or G interrupting levels.
What is the difference between the HJL26015 and HDL26015?
The difference is the interrupting capacity. The HJL26015 has a higher J interrupting rating (65kA at 480VAC), whereas the HDL26015 features the standard D rating (18kA at 480VAC). Both share the same physical footprint and mounting.
What is the difference between the HJL26015 and HGL26015?
The HJL26015 has a J interrupting rating of 65kA at 480VAC, while the HGL26015 has a G interrupting rating of 35kA at 480VAC. Both are 15A, 2-pole, unit-mount breakers in the PowerPacT H-frame family.
Does the HJL26015 provide current-limiting protection?
Yes, PowerPacT H-frame breakers with the J interrupting rating are UL Listed as current-limiting. They provide greater protection for downstream devices by limiting the let-through current during a fault.
