What type of trip unit is included with the HLA36100U31X?
It comes equipped with a Micrologic 3.2 electronic trip unit, indicated by the U31X suffix. This solid-state trip unit provides adjustable Long-Time and Instantaneous (LI) protection settings for precise coordination.
Does the HLA36100U31X require a separate mounting bracket for installation?
No. The I-Line mounting bracket and blow-on style connectors are integral to the circuit breaker and cannot be removed. It mounts directly onto the panelboard bus without additional hardware.
Is the HLA36100U31X rated for DC voltage applications?
No. PowerPacT H-Frame breakers equipped with Micrologic electronic trip units are rated for AC voltage only. For DC applications, a breaker with a thermal-magnetic trip unit is required.
Can the HLA36100U31X I-Line breaker be reverse fed?
No. Because I-Line circuit breakers feature integral plug-on line-side connectors designed specifically to attach to the panelboard bus, they cannot be reverse fed.
Is the HLA36100U31X suitable for isolation?
Yes. PowerPacT H-Frame circuit breakers are suitable for isolation as defined by the IEC 60947-2 standard. The operating handle will only indicate the OFF position when the contacts are fully open, allowing for safe padlocking.
What wire sizes are accepted by the load lugs on the HLA36100U31X?
The mechanical load-side lugs accept 14 AWG to 3/0 AWG aluminum or copper wire. The line side does not use lugs, as it features the integral I-Line plug-on connection.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
