A dual-function circuit breaker combines Combination Arc Fault (CAFCI) and Class A Ground Fault (GFCI) protection into a single device. This provides defense against electrical fires caused by arcing and protects against electrical shock from ground faults.
What is the difference between the QO120PDF and the QO120DF?
The QO120PDF is a Plug-On Neutral breaker that connects directly to the load center's neutral bar, eliminating the pigtail wire. The QO120DF is the pigtail version, which requires manually landing a curled white neutral wire on the panel's neutral bar.
Can I install the QO120PDF in a standard QO load center?
The QO120PDF requires a Plug-On Neutral QO load center. If your panel does not have a Plug-On Neutral bar design, you cannot use this breaker and must install the pigtail version, QO120DF.
Are Square D QO and Homeline dual-function breakers interchangeable?
No. Square D QO breakers are 3/4 inch wide per pole, while Homeline breakers are 1 inch wide. The QO120PDF will only fit in a QO load center and cannot be used in a Homeline panel.
How do I use the Time Saver Diagnostics feature on this breaker?
Turn the breaker to the OFF position. Press and hold the TEST button, then move the handle to the ON position while continuing to hold the button. An instant trip indicates a ground fault. A 2-second delay indicates an arc fault. A 5-second delay points to a thermal overload or short circuit.
Is the QO120PDF interchangeable with the QO120PAFGF?
Yes. The QO120PAFGF is an updated catalog number from Square D that replaces the QO120PDF. Both provide the exact same 20A, single-pole, dual-function Plug-On Neutral protection for QO panels.
How is wiring the QO120PDF different from wiring a standard QO breaker?
Unlike standard breakers where the circuit's neutral wire connects directly to the panel's neutral bar, the QO120PDF requires the circuit's load neutral wire to be connected to the breaker's neutral terminal. The breaker itself then connects to the panel's neutral bar via the Plug-On Neutral clip.
What is the purpose of the Visi-Trip indicator on this breaker?

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.

Expedited Shipments
