This breaker requires a Square D QO or NQ series panelboard specifically designed to accept Plug-on Neutral (PON) breakers. It will not fit in older panels that require a pigtail neutral connection.
Does this breaker require a pigtail connection to the neutral bus?
No, the QO120VHPAF features a Plug-on Neutral design. It connects directly to the neutral bar in compatible Plug-on Neutral load centers, eliminating the need for a pigtail wire and saving gutter space.
What type of protection does this breaker provide?
It is a Combination Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (CAFCI). It provides standard overload and short-circuit protection while also detecting both parallel and series arcing faults to help prevent electrical fires.
