6 answersIs the QO3020 a CTL or non-CTL tandem breaker?
The QO3020 is a non-CTL tandem breaker. It is designed specifically for older legacy Square D QO load centers that lack circuit total limiting (CTL) rejection features. It will not seat properly in newer CTL panels.
How are the circuits configured on the QO3020?
This tandem breaker provides two independent single-pole circuits within one breaker housing. One circuit is rated for 30 amps and the other is rated for 20 amps.
How much panel space does this tandem breaker require?
The QO3020 requires a single 3/4-inch pole space in a compatible QO load center. This allows you to install two separate circuits in the space normally occupied by one standard breaker.
Can the two circuits on this tandem breaker share a neutral wire?
No. Because both circuits on a tandem breaker connect to the same phase in the panel, sharing a neutral wire (as in a multi-wire branch circuit) will overload the neutral and create a safety hazard. Each circuit must have its own dedicated neutral.
Will the QO3020 fit in a Square D Homeline load center?
No. Square D QO and Homeline series breakers have different physical dimensions and mounting styles. You must use a Homeline tandem breaker for a Homeline panel.
Is the QO3020 HACR rated?
Yes, this breaker is HACR rated, making it suitable for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment that requires this specific designation.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.

Expedited Shipments
