How is the QFL23225 installed in the enclosure?
It utilizes a unit-mount, feed-through construction. Instead of plugging directly onto a busbar, the breaker bolts to the panel chassis and connects to the electrical system using cables or bus links attached to its line and load lugs.
Can this breaker replace Challenger or Sylvania QFL models?
Yes. The Zinsco product line was historically manufactured under the Sylvania, Challenger, and GTE brand names. A QFL23225 breaker from any of these legacy brands shares the exact same physical dimensions, mounting configuration, and thermal-magnetic trip characteristics.

No, this breaker features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. It provides standard long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection functions that are factory calibrated and cannot be adjusted in the field.

The included lugs are dual-rated for both aluminum and copper (Al/Cu) wire ranging from 2/0 AWG to 300 kcmil. When terminating aluminum conductors, always apply a listed oxide-inhibiting joint compound to ensure a secure, long-lasting connection.

Free Shipping Policy

Expedited Shipments
