Product FAQs
8 answers
What load centers are compatible with the THQL1120GFT2?
This Q-Line plug-in breaker is designed for use in ABB ReliaHome load centers and legacy GE PowerMark Gold panels that accept 1-inch THQL breakers.
Does this breaker use a pigtail neutral or a plug-on neutral connection?
The THQL1120GFT2 features a factory-installed coiled neutral pigtail wire. This pigtail must be wired directly to the neutral bar in the panel to power the ground fault circuitry.
What level of ground fault protection does this device offer?
It provides Class A ground fault protection. The breaker is calibrated to trip when it detects a current leakage of 5 milliamperes, protecting personnel from electrical shock.
Does this GFCI breaker perform automated self-testing?
Yes, it includes an internal self-test function that periodically verifies the integrity of the ground fault detection circuitry to comply with modern National Electrical Code requirements.
What wire sizes are accepted by the load terminals?
The terminals on this 20-amp breaker accommodate 14 to 8 AWG copper wire or 12 to 8 AWG aluminum wire.
Is this breaker rated for switching fluorescent lighting loads?
Yes, it carries an SWD rating, meaning it is approved for the regular switching of 120-volt fluorescent lighting circuits.
Can this breaker be used to supply heating and cooling equipment?
Yes, it is HACR rated for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment that requires a 20-amp circuit.
Is the ABB THQL1120GFT2 identical to the GE THQL1120GFT2?
Yes. Following the acquisition of GE Industrial Solutions by ABB, these Q-Line breakers are now manufactured under the ABB brand but retain the exact same catalog numbers, form factor, and panel compatibility.
