Product FAQs

5 answers
How is the Bulldog 067211 feed-thru breaker wired during installation?

As a feed-thru molded case circuit breaker, it does not connect directly to a panelboard busbar. It requires wire connections at both the line and load side lugs. It is typically surface-mounted or installed in a dedicated enclosure rather than a standard load center.

Will the Bulldog 672 series fit in a standard Bulldog Pushmatic panel?

No. Although manufactured by Bulldog, the 067211 is a feed-thru molded case circuit breaker, not a Pushmatic breaker. It lacks the bolt-on mounting mechanism required for Pushmatic busbars and is designed for independent or inline mounting.

How does the thermal-magnetic (LI) trip mechanism function on this breaker?

The LI designation indicates long-time and instantaneous protection. The thermal (long-time) element responds to sustained overloads by heating a bimetallic strip to trip the breaker, while the magnetic (instantaneous) element reacts immediately to short-circuit faults.

What is the maximum continuous load permitted on this 15A Bulldog breaker?

Under standard electrical codes, continuous loads operating for three hours or more should not exceed 80 percent of the breaker rating. For this 15-amp breaker, the continuous load must be kept at or below 12 amps to ensure safe operation and prevent overheating.

What does the 10kA standard interrupting rating mean for the 067211?

The 10 kiloampere (10kA) interrupting rating indicates the maximum fault current the breaker can safely clear at 240V without failing or causing a safety hazard. It is suitable for applications where available fault currents do not exceed 10,000 amps.
