This breaker is designed for Eaton, Cutler-Hammer, and legacy Bryant Type BR load centers. It requires two 1-inch panel spaces with notched bus stabs to accommodate its CTL rejection tab.
How are the 20A and 40A circuits configured on this quadplex breaker?
The BQ220240 provides a 20A two-pole circuit on the outer poles and a 40A two-pole circuit on the center poles. This configuration allows you to feed two separate 240V loads while only occupying two standard 1-inch panel spaces.
Can the BQ220240 be installed in any position within a Type BR panel?
No. Because it is a Circuit Total Limiting (CTL) breaker, it features a physical rejection tab. It can only be installed in panel slots that have notched bus stabs specifically designed to accept tandem or quadplex breakers.

Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
