This plug-on breaker is designed specifically for Eaton and Cutler-Hammer Type BR 3-phase load centers.
What are the acceptable wire sizes and conductor materials for the BR345?
The box lug terminals accept 14 AWG through 4 AWG wire. You can safely terminate either copper (Cu) or aluminum (Al) conductors.
How does the trip unit function on this Type BR breaker?
It utilizes a thermal-magnetic mechanism with fixed thermal and fixed magnetic elements. This provides standard long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection against overloads and short circuits.
Can the BR345 be installed in a standard residential load center?
No. Because it is a 3-pole breaker, it requires a 3-phase Type BR panel. Standard single-phase residential panels cannot accommodate a 3-pole configuration.
Does this breaker bolt onto the busbar?
No, the BR345 is a plug-on breaker. It snaps directly onto the busbar of a compatible Type BR load center and does not use bolt-on connections.
Is the Eaton BR345 the same as the Cutler-Hammer BR345?
Yes. Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer, and the BR series continues under the Eaton brand. A breaker labeled Eaton BR345 is the exact same component as the legacy Cutler-Hammer BR345.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
