Product FAQs
5 answers
Can the CSR2200N be used as a branch breaker in a standard panel?
No, this unit is designed exclusively to serve as a main circuit breaker or primary service disconnect in Type CH load centers and ECC or ECB unit enclosures. It cannot be installed as a standard branch breaker.
What is the direct replacement for legacy Westinghouse BWH2200 main breakers?
The Eaton CSR2200N is the direct, modern replacement for obsolete Westinghouse BW2200 and BWH2200 main breakers. They share the exact same physical footprint and electrical characteristics.
What is the required tightening torque for the load terminals on this breaker?
The terminal lugs require a tightening torque of 275 lb-in. Ensure conductors are properly seated and torqued to this specification to prevent arcing and overheating.
Does this breaker include a shunt trip or auxiliary switch?
No, the standard CSR2200N does not include factory-installed accessories like a shunt trip or auxiliary contacts. It provides standard thermal-magnetic overcurrent and short-circuit protection.
What preparation is required when terminating aluminum conductors to this breaker?
While the lugs are dual-rated for copper and aluminum, you must apply a listed oxide-inhibiting joint compound to any aluminum conductors before terminating them to the 275 lb-in torque specification.
