6 answersCan the ED3100 be used on a 480V system?
No. The ED3100 is rated for a maximum of 240VAC. For 480V or 600V applications, an FD3100 or HFD3100 F-frame breaker is required.
Is the ED3100 breaker reverse feed capable?
Yes. Eaton Series C F-frame circuit breakers have non-interchangeable thermal magnetic trip units that are suitable for reverse feed applications.
Are line and load lugs included with the ED3100?
This breaker includes load side lugs that accept 14 AWG to 1/0 AWG wire. The line side is designed to bolt directly to the busbar in Series C panelboards, so line side lugs are not included by default.
Will a new Eaton ED3100 replace a legacy Westinghouse breaker?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer distribution equipment lines. A modern Eaton ED3100 is the exact physical and electrical replacement for legacy breakers sharing the same catalog number.
Is this breaker HACR rated for HVAC equipment?
Yes. Like all Eaton Series C F-frame circuit breakers, the ED3100 is HACR rated for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Can I install the ED3100 in a standard residential load center?
No. The ED3100 is a commercial F-frame molded case circuit breaker designed specifically for Series C panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers. It will not fit into residential BR or CH style load centers.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
