Yes, Eaton Series C F-frame circuit breakers, including the ED3175, are suitable for reverse feed applications.
What is the difference between the ED3175, FD3175, and HFD3175?
All three are Series C F-frame breakers with identical physical dimensions, but they differ in maximum voltage and interrupting capacity. The ED3175 is rated for 240V AC maximum. The FD3175 and HFD3175 are rated up to 600V AC, with the HFD offering a higher interrupting rating of 100kAIC at 240V AC compared to 65kAIC for the FD and ED.
What lug kit is standard for the ED3175 breaker?
The standard line and load lug kit for 175A to 225A Eaton F-frame breakers is catalog number 3TA225FD. These lugs accept 4 AWG to 4/0 AWG copper or aluminum wire.
Can the Eaton ED3175 replace older Westinghouse breakers?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment division, and the Eaton ED3175 is a direct, drop-in replacement for legacy Westinghouse ED3175 breakers. It mounts in the same Series C panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers.
Can I use the ED3175 in a 480V AC system?
No, the ED3175 is strictly rated for a maximum of 240V AC. For 480V AC or 600V AC applications, you must upgrade to an FD, HFD, or FDC frame breaker, such as the FD3175.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
