How does the EHD1030L mount into an electrical enclosure?
This is a unit-mount, feed-thru breaker. It bolts directly to the mounting pan or chassis using standard F-frame mounting hardware, rather than plugging onto a busbar.
Will the Eaton EHD1030L replace older Cutler-Hammer or Westinghouse breakers?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse distribution equipment lines. The EHD1030L is a direct drop-in replacement for older breakers bearing the exact same catalog number, maintaining the identical F-frame footprint.
Can the trip settings on the EHD1030L be adjusted in the field?
No. This breaker is equipped with a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit. The long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection parameters are factory-set and cannot be modified.
What are the wiring requirements for the EHD1030L lugs?
The factory-installed line and load lugs accept 14 to 1/0 AWG conductors. Installers must apply the specific torque values printed directly on the breaker label to ensure a secure connection and prevent thermal issues.
Is the EHD1030L rated for direct current (DC) applications?
Yes, in addition to its AC ratings, this thermal-magnetic breaker is rated for up to 125VDC. This allows it to be utilized in specific DC control circuits and distribution systems requiring a 30-amp disconnect.
Can the EHD1030L be used for multi-phase equipment?

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
