How does the FB3030PL achieve a 200kAIC interrupt rating at 600VAC?
The FB3030PL is a Tri-Pac circuit breaker. It achieves its ultra-high 200kAIC rating by integrating a replaceable current limiter block. During severe high-fault conditions, the current limiters blow to clear the fault and protect the downstream circuit.
Can the current limiters on the FB3030PL be replaced after a fault?
Yes. Because it uses a Tri-Pac fused configuration, the current limiter block is designed to be replaceable. If the limiters blow during a major short circuit, you can replace the limiter block rather than the entire thermal-magnetic breaker assembly.
Are Westinghouse and Eaton FB3030PL breakers the exact same part?
Yes. The FB3030PL was originally developed by Westinghouse as part of the Series C family. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse electrical distribution division and continued manufacturing the exact same F-frame breakers under the Cutler-Hammer and Eaton brands.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.

Expedited Shipments
