All three are 40-amp, 3-pole, F-frame circuit breakers with identical physical dimensions. The difference is their interrupting capacity. The FDC3040L is the current-limiting, ultra-high interrupting version, rated at 100kAIC at 480V. The HFD is the high-interrupting version, and the FD is the standard-interrupting version.
What does the L suffix in the FDC3040L catalog number indicate?
The L suffix indicates that the circuit breaker comes factory-equipped with standard pressure line and load terminals (lugs) installed. Without this suffix, the breaker would be supplied without lugs.

Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
