These breakers share the same physical Series C K-frame dimensions but offer different interrupting capacities. At 480VAC, the standard KD is rated for 35kAIC, the high-interrupting HKD is rated for 65kAIC, and the current-limiting KDC is rated for 100kAIC.
How does the adjustable magnetic trip function on the KDC3350?
The thermal-magnetic trip unit features an adjustable magnetic pickup range of 5 to 10 times the continuous current rating. For this 350A breaker, the instantaneous short-circuit trip can be set anywhere from 1750A to 3500A.
Which trip unit is included with the KDC3350 frame?
The KDC3350 comes equipped with the KT3350T thermal-magnetic trip unit. This provides fixed long-time (thermal) and adjustable instantaneous (magnetic) protection.
What are the standard lug requirements for the KDC3350?
The breaker accepts 250 to 500 kcmil aluminum or copper conductors. The standard terminal kit for this frame and wire size is catalog number TA350K, which includes lugs for both the line and load sides.
Does the KDC3350 breaker provide ground fault equipment protection?
No. The included LI (Long-Time, Instantaneous) trip unit only provides overload and short-circuit protection. Applications requiring ground fault protection will need an LSIG electronic trip unit or a separate ground fault relay system.
What enclosures accept the KDC3350 circuit breaker?
It is designed for panel mount installation in Eaton Series C panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers. Note that while the breaker itself is panel mounted, it requires specific K-frame strap kits or mounting hardware based on your exact enclosure type.

Expedited Shipments
