Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment line, making this Series C breaker backwards compatible with many legacy Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer L-frame panelboards and switchboards.
Which lug kit is supplied with this unit-mount breaker?
The LD3500 comes standard with the TA602LD lug kit installed on both the line and load sides. This kit is designed to accept dual conductors per phase.
Can the trip unit be upgraded if the circuit requirements change?
Yes. The LD3500 features an interchangeable frame design. It comes equipped with the LT3500T trip unit, but this block can be removed and swapped for a different Series C L-frame trip unit without replacing the entire breaker.
What higher-interrupting alternatives are available for the LD3500?
If your electrical system requires a short-circuit rating greater than 35kA at 480VAC, the HLD3500 provides 65kA at 480VAC, and the LDC3500 offers up to 100kA at 480VAC. Both share the same physical footprint.
Are field-installable internal accessories supported by this breaker?
Yes. The Series C L-frame supports a full range of internal accessories, including shunt trips, auxiliary switches, and undervoltage releases. These components drop directly into the designated cavities under the front cover.
What type of protection does the "LI" designation provide?
The LI trip unit delivers standard thermal-magnetic protection. The fixed thermal element (Long-Time) protects the circuit from sustained overloads, while the fixed magnetic element (Instantaneous) trips the breaker immediately during a short circuit.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
