This bolt-on breaker is designed for use in Eaton and Cutler Hammer Pow-R-Line 1 (PRL1a) and Pow-R-Line 2 (PRL2a) panelboards that accept Quicklag BAB or QBHW frame breakers.
Can I use a BAB3020 instead of the QBHW3020HT?
The BAB3020 has a lower interrupting rating of 10 kAIC, whereas the QBHW3020HT is rated for 22 kAIC. You can only substitute a BAB breaker if your system's available fault current is 10 kAIC or less. If the panel requires a 22 kAIC rating, you must use the QBHW series.
How does the QBHW3020HT connect to the panel bus?
It features a bolt-on connection where the breaker is physically bolted directly to the panelboard bus bars. This provides a secure, vibration-resistant connection commonly required in commercial and industrial applications.
