Yes. Eaton acquired both the Westinghouse electrical distribution business and Cutler-Hammer. The Series C JD3150 is a direct, identical replacement for legacy Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer JD3150 and JDB3150 circuit breakers.
Is the JD3150 circuit breaker suitable for reverse feed applications?
Yes. Series C J-Frame breakers with standard thermal-magnetic trip units, including the JD3150, are rated for reverse feed use.
Is the JD3150 rated for 100 percent continuous load?
No. Standard Eaton JD-Frame circuit breakers are 80 percent rated for continuous loads. If your application requires a 100 percent continuous rating, you must specify a JDC-Frame circuit breaker.
What panels and enclosures are compatible with the JD3150?
The JD3150 is a bolt-on breaker designed for Eaton, Cutler-Hammer, and legacy Westinghouse Series C panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers that are configured to accept J-Frame breakers.
How is the trip unit adjusted on the JD3150?
The JD3150 features a thermal-magnetic trip unit with a fixed thermal element and an adjustable instantaneous magnetic dial. The magnetic trip can be adjusted between 500 percent and 1000 percent of the breaker rating, which corresponds to an instantaneous trip range of 750A to 1500A.
Can I install internal accessories like a shunt trip on the JD3150?
Yes. The JD3150 accommodates field-installed internal accessories, including shunt trips, auxiliary switches, alarm switches, and undervoltage releases. These modular accessories install directly under the main breaker cover.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
