Description

Providing robust thermal-magnetic circuit protection, this 150A Series C F-Frame MCCB is built for industrial environments. It bolts into Eaton Pow-R-Line 1a, 2a, and 3a panelboards or standard F-Frame enclosures. The unit easily replaces older EB2150 models to upgrade existing systems. With a 22 kAIC rating at 240VAC, this current-limiting breaker includes reverse feed capability and carries an HACR rating for HVAC equipment.

Which panelboards are compatible with the EDB2150 circuit breaker?

This F-Frame breaker is designed specifically for commercial and industrial Eaton Pow-R-Line 1a, 2a, and 3a panelboards, as well as Series C F-Frame enclosures. It will not fit in standard residential load centers.

What wire sizes and materials are accepted by the lugs on this breaker?

The factory-installed load side lugs accept wire gauges from 4 AWG to 4/0 AWG and are rated for both copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) conductors. Ensure proper torque is applied during installation to maintain a secure connection.

What does the LI trip function indicate on the EDB2150?

The LI designation means the thermal-magnetic trip unit provides both Long-Time (thermal overload) and Instantaneous (magnetic short-circuit) protection. Both the thermal and magnetic trip settings are fixed on this specific model and cannot be adjusted in the field.

Is the EDB2150 fully interchangeable between Eaton and Cutler-Hammer brands?

Yes. This breaker belongs to the legacy Cutler-Hammer Series C family. Because Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer, this breaker is fully interchangeable with Eaton-branded EDB breakers sharing the exact same catalog number.

Can the EDB2150 be used in DC applications?
