Description
Operating within the F-Frame classification, the 90-amp EHD1090 offers heavy-duty thermal-magnetic protection for industrial facilities. This single-pole breaker provides essential long-time and instantaneous trip capabilities for standard commercial loads. The unit mounts into Eaton Series C panelboards and switchboards using a secure bolt-on connection. It replaces legacy FDB1090 and FD1090 units, and is itself succeeded by the Power Defense PDG11F0090TFFL when using a retrofit kit.Specifications

7 answersWhat panelboards are compatible with the EHD1090 circuit breaker?
This breaker is designed for use in Eaton Series C panelboards and switchboards. It is also backward compatible with many legacy Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse F-frame panelboards.
Can the EHD1090 be reverse fed?
Yes. Like all standard Eaton F-frame molded case circuit breakers, the EHD1090 is suitable for reverse feed applications.
Can I use the EHD1090 in a DC circuit?
Yes, this thermal magnetic breaker is suitable for direct current applications up to 125VDC, where it provides a 10kAIC interrupting rating.
Is this the same as a Cutler-Hammer or Westinghouse EHD1090?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse distribution equipment lines. An Eaton EHD1090 is the exact same F-frame breaker and serves as a direct replacement for older Cutler-Hammer or Westinghouse models with the same catalog number.
Are the trip settings on the EHD1090 adjustable?
No. This breaker features a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit. The long-time and instantaneous trip functions are factory set and cannot be adjusted in the field.
What wire size is supported by the EHD1090 lugs?
The included lugs accommodate wire sizes ranging from 14 AWG to 1/0 AWG. Ensure proper torque specifications are followed during installation.
Is the EHD1090 HACR rated?
Yes. All Eaton F-frame circuit breakers, including the EHD1090, are HACR rated for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
