This breaker is designed for use in Eaton Series C panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers. It shares the standard F-frame footprint.
Can the EHD2045 be used to replace an older Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer breaker with the same part number?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse distribution equipment lines. The Eaton EHD2045 is the exact, direct replacement for legacy Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse EHD2045 breakers.
What is the difference between the EHD2045, FD2045, and HFD2045?
The difference is the interrupting capacity at 480VAC. The EHD2045 is rated for 14kAIC, the FD2045 is rated for 35kAIC, and the HFD2045 is rated for 65kAIC. All three share the same physical F-frame dimensions and mountings.
What wire sizes are accepted by the standard lugs on this breaker?
The standard factory lugs on the EHD2045 accept copper or aluminum wire ranging from 14 AWG to 1/0 AWG.
Are the trip settings adjustable on the EHD2045?
No. This breaker features fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip elements. The long-time and instantaneous trip settings cannot be adjusted in the field.
Does this breaker provide GFCI or AFCI protection?
No. The EHD2045 is a standard thermal magnetic circuit breaker providing only long-time and instantaneous overcurrent and short circuit protection. It does not include ground fault or arc fault circuitry.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
