Providing robust overcurrent protection, the Eaton FDC3045 is a 3-pole, 45A MCCB from the Series C lineup. It incorporates a fixed thermal magnetic trip unit to deliver dependable LI functions. Equipped for panel mounting, this F-frame breaker includes load side lugs and fits Eaton Series C switchboards. For modern upgrades, it is replaced by the Power Defense PDG23P0045TFFJ. Yes, the FDC3045 shares the same physical dimensions as FD and HFD breakers within the Eaton Series C F-Frame family. The FDC provides a significantly higher interrupting rating, making it a suitable drop-in upgrade where higher fault current protection is required.
Will this breaker replace an older Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer FDC3045?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer molded case circuit breaker lines. A modern Eaton FDC3045 is a direct replacement for legacy Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer breakers with the exact same catalog number.
Is this breaker compatible with standard residential load centers?
No. The FDC3045 is a Series C F-Frame molded case circuit breaker designed for industrial and commercial applications. It bolts onto the bus of Eaton Series C panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers, and will not fit in standard plug-on residential load centers.
Can the trip settings on the FDC3045 be adjusted in the field?
No. This breaker features a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit. The long-time and instantaneous trip functions are factory set for 45 amps and cannot be modified by the installer.
Is the FDC3045 suitable for direct current (DC) applications?

Expedited Shipments
