This breaker features a 30mA ground fault trip threshold. It is designed for Ground Fault Equipment Protection (GFEP) to prevent equipment damage from low-level faults, rather than the 5mA threshold used for Class A personnel protection (GFCI).
Which Eaton panelboards are compatible with the GHBGFEP1030 circuit breaker?
This G-frame breaker is designed for use in Eaton Series C panelboards, as well as Pow-R-Line 1, 2, and 3 series panelboards, including PRL1a, PRL2a, PRL3a, PRL1X, PRL2X, and PRL3X models.
How is the neutral connection handled on the GHBGFEP1030?
This breaker includes a factory-installed pigtail neutral wire. This wire must be connected directly to the panelboard neutral bus to power the ground fault sensing circuitry and ensure proper operation.

How do I test the ground fault functionality of the GHBGFEP1030 after installation?
You can verify the ground fault circuitry using the built-in push-to-test button on the front of the breaker. Pressing this button simulates a fault and should immediately trip the breaker. A trip window will also indicate red when the breaker has tripped due to a ground fault.
Can the GHBGFEP1030 be used on a 480V delta system?
No. This 1-pole breaker is rated for 480Y/277VAC solidly grounded wye systems. It is designed to connect to one 277V phase and the neutral, and cannot be used on ungrounded or corner-grounded 480V delta systems.

Good product, but I was disappointed with the service. I accidentally placed two separate orders and ended up paying freight on both. I had requested that they combine the orders, and had that been done with the freight waived, it would have saved me money.
