This bolt-on circuit breaker is designed for use in Eaton Pow-R-Line panelboards, including PRL1a, PRL3a, and PRL4a, as well as legacy Sumter panelboards.
Can I install the QBCAF1020 in a standard residential load center?
No. The QBCAF1020 features a bolt-on mounting style (BAB frame) and is specifically designed for commercial distribution panelboards. It will not fit in standard plug-on load centers.
What is the difference between the QBCAF1020 and the QBHCAF1020?
Both are 20A, 1-pole Combination AFCI breakers for Pow-R-Line panels, but they have different interrupting ratings. The QBCAF1020 is rated at 10kAIC, while the QBHCAF1020 is rated at 22kAIC for systems with higher available fault current.
What is the difference between the QBCAF1020 and the QBAF1020?
The QBCAF1020 is a Combination Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (CAFCI), which detects both parallel and series arcs. The older QBAF1020 is a Branch Feeder AFCI, which only detects parallel arcs. Modern NEC standards typically require CAFCI protection for branch circuits.
How is the neutral connection handled on the QBCAF1020?
This breaker is equipped with a pigtail neutral wire. The pigtail must be routed and terminated directly to the neutral bus bar of the panelboard to power the breaker's internal arc fault detection circuitry.
What type of arc fault protection does the QBCAF1020 provide?
It provides Combination Arc Fault (CAFCI) protection. This means it is engineered to detect and mitigate both high-energy parallel arcs (line-to-neutral or line-to-ground) and low-energy series arcs (such as a loose connection or damaged wire within a single conductor).

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
