Engineered for residential safety, the Eaton QBH1020AFGF delivers combination arc-fault and 5mA ground-fault protection. This 20A, 1-pole breaker helps meet modern NEC requirements. The bolt-on design installs securely into compatible Commander, CEB, and Sylvania panelboards. It features a pigtail neutral connection for straightforward wiring. Rated at 22kAIC at 120/240V, it includes a built-in self-test function and an LED trip indicator to simplify troubleshooting.
Which electrical panels are compatible with the QBH1020AFGF circuit breaker?
This bolt-on breaker is designed specifically to fit classic Commander, CEB, and Sylvania bolt-on loadcenters, as well as compatible Eaton panelboards that accept QBH frame types.
What does Dual Function mean for this Eaton breaker?
A dual function breaker provides both Combination Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) and 5mA Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection in a single unit, helping meet modern NEC requirements for personnel and fire safety.
How is the neutral connection wired on the QBH1020AFGF?
This breaker features a pigtail neutral connection. The coiled white pigtail wire must be connected directly to the neutral bus bar in your panelboard to ensure proper AFCI and GFCI operation.
What does the 22kAIC rating indicate for this 20A breaker?
The 22kAIC rating means the breaker can safely interrupt up to 22,000 amps of fault current. This higher interrupting capacity is often required in commercial applications or residential systems located close to a utility transformer where available fault current exceeds standard 10kAIC limits.
Can I use this Eaton breaker to replace older Commander or Sylvania models?
Yes. Eaton acquired the rights to these legacy designs and manufactures the QBH series as direct, code-compliant replacements for vintage Commander, CEB, and Sylvania bolt-on breakers.
Does this breaker include diagnostic features for troubleshooting trips?
Yes, Eaton dual function breakers feature built-in self-test capabilities and diagnostic LED indicators. These indicators display specific trip codes, making it easier to identify whether a trip was caused by an arc fault, ground fault, or thermal overload.
