Operating at 120/240VAC with a 22 kAIC interrupt capacity, this single-pole bolt-on breaker uses thermal-magnetic technology to protect commercial circuits from arcing faults. This specific model is officially replaced by the newer QBHCAF1020 combination AFCI, but remains essential for matching existing specs. This bolt-on miniature circuit breaker is designed for installation in Eaton Pow-R-Line panelboards, including the PRL1a, PRL2a, and PRL3a series.
How is the neutral wired on the QBHAF1020?
This breaker features a pigtail neutral. The coiled white pigtail wire connects directly to the panelboard neutral bar, while the branch circuit neutral wire terminates at the designated load neutral lug on the breaker.
Does this breaker require a plug-on neutral panelboard?
No. Because it utilizes a pigtail neutral connection, it is compatible with standard legacy and modern Eaton Pow-R-Line panelboards that lack a plug-on neutral bus.
What is the difference between the QBHAF1020 and the QBAF1020?
The QBHAF1020 features a higher interrupting capacity of 22kAIC at 120V. The standard QBAF1020 is rated for 10kAIC. Both share the same physical footprint and bolt-on mounting style.
Can the QBHAF1020 replace a standard BAB1020 breaker?
Yes. If branch circuit arc fault protection is required by updated electrical codes, the QBHAF1020 can replace a standard 20A 1-pole BAB1020. Ensure the panelboard has adequate wire bending space to accommodate the larger AFCI breaker body and pigtail wiring.
What type of fault detection does the QBHAF1020 provide?

Free Shipping Policy
