Are ABB and General Electric TEY235 breakers the same?
Yes. Following ABB's acquisition of GE Industrial Solutions, TEY series breakers are manufactured under both brand names. They are identical in form, fit, and function.
Can the TEY235 circuit breaker be reverse fed?
Yes, GE TEY series molded case circuit breakers are suitable for reverse feed applications. They do not have line and load markings that restrict the direction of power flow.
What does the 277/480VAC slash rating indicate for the TEY235?
The slash rating means this breaker is designed for use on solidly grounded WYE electrical systems where the phase-to-ground voltage does not exceed 277V. It is not approved for ungrounded or corner-grounded Delta systems.
Is the TEY235 rated for direct current (DC) systems?
Yes, in addition to its AC ratings, the TEY235 is rated for 250VDC with a 10kAIC interrupting capacity. This allows it to be used in compatible DC control panels and battery applications.
Can the trip settings on the TEY235 be adjusted in the field?
No, the TEY235 features fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip elements. The long-time and instantaneous (LI) trip functions are factory set and cannot be modified.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
