This breaker is designed for use in General Electric A-Series and Spectra Series panelboards. It uses a bolt-on connection and is not compatible with load centers that require standard plug-on breakers.
What is the difference between GE TED and THED circuit breakers?
Both belong to the GE E150 line and share the same physical dimensions, but the H in THED designates a high-interrupting capacity. The THED136050 provides up to 25kAIC at 480VAC, whereas a standard TED breaker has a lower fault current rating, typically 18kAIC at 480VAC.
Can the THED136050 be back-fed or reverse-fed?
Yes, GE THED series molded case circuit breakers are suitable for reverse-feed applications. Always verify local electrical codes and ensure the breaker is properly labeled when back-feeding.
Can I replace a THED136050 with an Eaton or Square D breaker of the same physical size?

No. If a THED breaker is specified, it means the available fault current at that location requires the higher interrupting rating. Installing a standard TED breaker could result in catastrophic failure during a short circuit.
