Product FAQs
7 answers
Which panelboards are compatible with the THQB2135GFT2 circuit breaker?
This bolt-on breaker is designed for installation in GE A-Series panelboards, GE AQ Lighting Panels, and ABB ReliaGear RQ panelboards.
What level of ground fault protection does the THQB2135GFT2 provide?
It provides Class A, 5mA ground fault protection. This sensitive threshold is designed specifically for personnel protection to prevent severe electrical shock if a current leak occurs.
Does the THQB2135GFT2 include a self-test feature?
Yes, the GFT2 suffix indicates the inclusion of an automatic self-test function. The breaker periodically runs internal diagnostics to verify the ground fault circuitry is functioning properly, meeting current UL safety standards.
How is the neutral connection handled on this GFCI breaker?
The THQB2135GFT2 features a pigtail neutral. This coiled white wire must be connected directly to the neutral bus bar in the panelboard to power the internal ground fault circuitry and allow it to monitor current imbalances.
What wire sizes are accepted by the load terminals?
The box lugs on this breaker accommodate 8 AWG to 3 AWG copper or aluminum (Cu/Al) conductors.
What is the difference between the THQB2135GFT2 and a GFEP breaker?
The THQB2135GFT2 is a GFCI breaker with a 5mA trip threshold for personnel safety. A GFEP (Ground Fault Equipment Protection) breaker, such as the THQB2135GFEP2, has a higher 30mA trip threshold intended to protect machinery and heat trace systems from damage, rather than protecting people from shock.
What does the LIG trip function code indicate?
LIG stands for Long-Time, Instantaneous, and Ground Fault. This indicates the breaker combines standard thermal overload protection (long-time), magnetic short-circuit protection (instantaneous), and sensitive current leak detection (ground fault) in a single unit.

Customers say these circuit breakers arrive quickly and work as expected. Many reviews mention fast shipping, with some receiving orders overnight or within days. Users report the breakers fit properly, install easily, and function correctly in both residential and commercial applications. Common feedback includes competitive pricing and good packaging that protects products during shipping. While most praise the ordering process as straightforward, some note occasional issues with missing installation screws or receiving updated product versions instead of pictured models. Several contractors and electricians appreciate having access to hard-to-find or obsolete breakers when local suppliers lack inventory.

Hard to find older style breakers
I am pleased to have access to these breakers. We have a number of them at our church. Local suppliers said that they had never seen this kind of breaker. They fit our panel perfectly.
