Product FAQs
5 answers
What panelboards are compatible with the THQB2140GFEP2?
This breaker is designed for use in GE A-Series panelboards and GE AQ lighting panels. It requires a bolt-on connection and will not fit in load centers that require plug-in breakers.
Can I use this THQB breaker in place of a THQL breaker?
No. THQB breakers like the THQB2140GFEP2 feature a bolt-on mounting style designed for commercial panelboards. THQL breakers are plug-in style and are used in standard residential load centers. They are not interchangeable.
What is the difference between this GFEP breaker and a standard GFCI breaker?
The THQB2140GFEP2 provides Ground Fault Equipment Protection with a 30mA trip threshold. This is designed to protect equipment from damage while preventing nuisance tripping. Standard Class A GFCI breakers have a highly sensitive 5mA threshold designed specifically for personnel protection.
How do I wire the neutral for the THQB2140GFEP2?
This breaker includes a pigtail neutral wire. During installation, the pigtail must be securely connected to the neutral bar in your panelboard for the ground fault protection circuitry to function correctly.
Why is this breaker listed under both ABB and General Electric?
ABB acquired GE Industrial Solutions. As a result, Q-Line breakers like the THQB2140GFEP2 may be branded as either ABB or General Electric, but they are the exact same product and are fully interchangeable.

Users report the breakers fit properly, install easily, and function correctly in both residential and commercial applications. Common feedback includes competitive pricing and good packaging that protects products during shipping. Hard to find older style breakers
I am pleased to have access to these breakers. We have a number of them at our church. Local suppliers said that they had never seen this kind of breaker. They fit our panel perfectly.
