4 answersWhat is the difference between the LB3400 and the HLB3400?
The HLB3400 is the high-interrupting capacity version of the standard LB3400. It belongs to the Mark 75 family and provides a 35kAIC rating at 480VAC, whereas the standard LB frame has a lower interrupting capacity. Both share the same physical dimensions and mounting.
Are Eaton, Cutler-Hammer, and Westinghouse HLB3400 breakers interchangeable?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment division in 1994. Breakers marked with Eaton, Cutler-Hammer, or Westinghouse bearing the HLB3400 catalog number are the exact same component and can be used interchangeably in compatible panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers.
Can I run parallel conductors to the HLB3400 lugs?
Yes, the standard lugs on this breaker support parallel runs. You can terminate two conductors ranging from 1 AWG to 250 kcmil per phase, or a single conductor from 1 AWG to 600 kcmil. The lugs are rated for both aluminum and copper wire.
Is the trip curve adjustable on the HLB3400?
The thermal element for long-time overload protection is fixed, but the magnetic element for instantaneous short-circuit protection is adjustable. You can set the magnetic trip threshold using the adjustment dial located on the face of the breaker.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
