Description
Engineered for commercial and industrial use, the Square D FAL24045 is a 2-pole, 45A MCCB from the legacy F-frame family. It provides reliable long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection. This unit-mount breaker installs into compatible Square D enclosures and switchboards. For modern upgrades, it is replaced by the PowerPact BDL26045. FAL breakers are unit-mounted and feature lugs on both the line and load sides. FAP breakers are I-Line panelboard breakers that plug onto the bus on the line side. The FAL24045 is a unit-mount breaker.
Can this breaker be installed in an I-Line panelboard?
No. While sometimes mislabeled in legacy catalogs, FAL breakers are strictly unit-mounted with line and load lugs. For an I-Line panelboard, you need an FAP series breaker with a plug-on line connection.
Can the FAL24045 replace older FA series breakers?
Yes, the FAL series is the direct replacement for the legacy FA series. The FAL24045 can replace an older FA24045 breaker, maintaining the same physical dimensions and unit-mount configuration.
What type of lugs are included with this breaker?
This breaker comes factory-equipped with AL100FA lugs on both the line and load sides. These lugs accept 14 AWG to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum wire.

Expedited Shipments
