This bolt-on CF frame breaker is designed for installation in Siemens and legacy ITE switchboards, as well as motor control centers (MCCs) that accept C-frame molded case circuit breakers.
How does the current-limiting feature of the CF3B015 benefit the electrical system?
As a current-limiting breaker, it interrupts fault currents extremely fast, significantly reducing the let-through energy (I2t and Ip). This provides enhanced protection for downstream components and allows for higher series-combination ratings in the switchboard or MCC.
Are ITE and Siemens CF-frame breakers interchangeable?
Yes. Siemens acquired ITE and continued manufacturing many of their legacy product lines under the Siemens brand. A Siemens CF3B015 is a direct, exact replacement for an older ITE CF3B015.
Can I use aluminum wiring with the factory lugs on the CF3B015?
Yes, the factory-installed line and load lugs are dual-rated for both copper and aluminum conductors. They accept 14 to 1/0 AWG copper or 12 to 1/0 AWG aluminum wire. Ensure an appropriate oxide inhibitor is applied when terminating aluminum conductors.
Can this breaker be used in DC applications?
Yes, the CF3B015 is rated for DC systems up to 250VDC with an interrupting capacity of 100kA. When applying this breaker in DC circuits, ensure the wiring configuration complies with the manufacturer instructions for DC pole connections.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
