6 answersHow is the Siemens CQD150 circuit breaker mounted?
The CQD150 is designed to be independently mounted on a standard 35mm DIN rail or bolted directly to a flat surface. It features line and load side lugs for feed-thru wiring.
What is the difference between Siemens BQD and CQD circuit breakers?
Both share the same 1-inch pole width and electrical ratings, but they have different mounting styles. The BQD is designed for panelboard installation and only has load-side lugs. The CQD frame has both line and load lugs and is designed for DIN rail or surface mounting in OEM panels and enclosures.
Is the CQD150 rated for reverse feed applications?
Yes, Siemens CQD series circuit breakers are UL Listed for reverse feed applications, allowing line power to be connected to either the top or bottom terminals.
Does the CQD150 carry HACR or HID ratings?
Yes, this 50A 1-pole breaker is both HACR (Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) marked and HID (High-Intensity Discharge) lighting rated. Note that it is not SWD (Switching Duty) rated, as SWD ratings only apply to 15A and 20A 1-pole models.
Can I install a shunt trip or auxiliary switch on the CQD150?
No. While Siemens offers field-installable accessories like shunt trips and auxiliary switches for the CQD frame, they mount on the left side of the breaker and are not compatible with single-pole models like the CQD150.
Can the CQD150 be installed in a standard Siemens residential load center?
No, the CQD150 is a DIN rail or surface-mounted breaker intended for industrial control panels and OEM enclosures. It will not fit into standard Siemens residential plug-in or bolt-on load centers.

Expedited Shipments
