Does the Siemens MXD63B500 come with lugs installed?
No, the MXD63B500 is supplied without lugs. Line and load lug kits, such as the TA3K500 which accepts 1/0 AWG to 500 kcmil copper or aluminum wire, must be purchased separately based on your specific conductor requirements.
Can the MXD63B500 breaker be reverse fed?
Yes. Because the MXD63B500 features a factory-assembled, non-interchangeable trip unit, it meets UL 489 requirements for reverse feeding in standard applications.
Can the Siemens MXD63B500 replace older ITE MD-frame breakers?
Yes. Siemens acquired ITE and maintained the same physical footprint for the Sentron MD frame. The MXD63B500 can directly replace older ITE 500A MD-frame breakers in existing switchboards and panelboards.
What does the X in the MXD63B500 catalog number indicate?
The X indicates that the breaker is factory-assembled with a non-interchangeable trip unit. While it still provides thermal-magnetic Long-Time and Instantaneous (LI) protection, the trip unit cannot be removed or swapped in the field.
What is the difference between the MXD63B500 and MXD63B500L?
The standard MXD63B500 is shipped without lugs. The MXD63B500L includes factory-installed line and load lugs. If you order the standard MXD63B500, you must source the appropriate lug kits separately for your installation.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
