Product FAQs
6 answers
What types of metering equipment and panels accept the QSH2125?
This breaker is designed for use as a main breaker in Siemens Power Mod meter stacks, Uni-PAK metering systems, WMM series, and compatible Siemens load centers.
Is the Siemens QSH2125 suitable for HVAC applications?
Yes, this breaker is HACR rated, meaning it is approved for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Can the QSH2125 be used as a standard branch breaker?
No, the QSH2125 is part of the QS frame family and is specifically engineered to function as a main breaker in multi-family metering systems and load centers.
What is the difference between the Siemens QS2125 and the QSH2125?
Both breakers share the same physical QS frame and install identically. The difference is the interrupting capacity. The QSH2125 provides a higher interrupting rating of 42kAIC at 240V, whereas the standard QS2125 is rated for 10kAIC.
Can the trip settings on the QSH2125 be adjusted in the field?
No, this breaker features a fixed thermal magnetic trip unit with non-interchangeable, factory-set long-time and instantaneous trip functions.
Does the QSH2125 provide ground fault or arc fault protection?
No, the QSH2125 is a standard thermal magnetic breaker and does not include GFCI or AFCI protection.
