No, this is a standard-rated circuit breaker. Per NEC guidelines, it is rated for continuous operation at 80% of its 40-amp nominal rating, which equals 32 amps continuous.
Can the BDA34040Y be used on a 480V Delta system?
No, this breaker has a 480Y/277VAC slash voltage rating. It is only suitable for solidly grounded wye systems where the voltage to ground does not exceed 277V. It cannot be used on ungrounded or corner-grounded 480V Delta systems.
How can I manually test the mechanical operation of the BDA34040Y?
