Yes. The PowerPacT B-frame series replaces legacy F-frame I-Line circuit breakers, including the FA, FH, and FC series. The BGA36100 fits the same mounting space in existing I-Line panelboards, making it a direct retrofit for 100A, 3-pole legacy models.
What are the torque specifications for the load side lugs on the BGA36100?
For the mechanical load lugs, tighten 14 to 10 AWG wire to a torque of 31.9 to 38.9 lb-in. For larger 8 to 2/0 AWG wire, the required torque is 44.3 to 54.9 lb-in.
How does this breaker connect to the panelboard bus?
The BGA36100 features a shrouded I-Line plug-on connection for the line side. It uses jaws that engage directly onto the panelboard bus stack, requiring no additional wiring on the line side. The load side utilizes standard mechanical wire lugs.
What equipment is this PowerPacT B-frame breaker compatible with?
This specific breaker is designed exclusively for installation in Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It will not fit in standard residential load centers or Square D NQ and NF series commercial panelboards.
What does the "G" signify in the BGA36100 catalog number?
In the PowerPacT B-frame nomenclature, the "G" indicates the interrupting rating tier. For this unit, it signifies a maximum breaking capacity of 35kA at 480VAC and 65kA at 240VAC. Square D also offers D and J tiers for lower or higher fault current applications.
Are the trip settings adjustable on the BGA36100?
No. This breaker utilizes a standard thermal magnetic trip unit with fixed protection parameters. Both the long-time (overload) and instantaneous (short circuit) trip limits are factory preset based on the 100A rating and cannot be adjusted in the field.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
