Engineered for demanding environments, this 15A, 3-pole PowerPacT B-Frame MCCB provides precise thermal-magnetic (LI) trip functions. It is perfectly suited for industrial control panels and switchboards. The unit mount configuration features built-in DIN rail mounting and patented EverLink lugs to prevent cable creep. 9 answersDoes the BJL36015 require an adapter for DIN rail mounting?
No. This unit-mount PowerPacT B-frame breaker features built-in mounting capability for standard 15mm x 35mm DIN rails. It can also be individually mounted directly to a back-pan.
Can I reverse feed this circuit breaker?
Yes. Standard unit-mount PowerPacT B-frame thermal-magnetic circuit breakers can be reverse fed. They can be supplied from either the top or bottom terminals without any reduction in protective performance.
What type of lugs are included with the BJL36015?
This breaker is equipped with EverLink creep-compensating lugs for both the line and load connections. These patented lugs maintain constant spring tension on the conductor to help prevent cable loosening over time.
Can I use bare fine-stranded wire with this circuit breaker?
Yes. The included EverLink lugs are rated for bare use with fine-stranded conductors up to Class K, eliminating the need for wire ferrules. They also accept standard aluminum and copper conductors ranging from 14 AWG to 3/0 AWG.
What does the J in the BJL36015 catalog number signify?
The J indicates the interrupting rating tier within the PowerPacT B-frame series. For this specific breaker, the J-tier provides a maximum interrupting capacity of 100kA at 240VAC, 65kA at 480VAC, and 25kA at 600VAC.
Are the thermal and magnetic trip limits adjustable on this breaker?
No. This model features a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit, meaning the overload and short-circuit protection thresholds are factory set and cannot be adjusted in the field.
Can this breaker be installed in a Square D I-Line panelboard?
No. The BJL36015 is a unit-mount circuit breaker designed for DIN rail or back-pan mounting in enclosures and control panels. To install a B-frame breaker in an I-Line panelboard, a plug-on I-Line version, such as a BJA model, is required.
Does the BJL36015 replace older F-frame circuit breakers?
Yes. The PowerPacT B-frame series is the designated modern replacement for Square D legacy unit-mount F-frame circuit breakers, such as the FAL and FHL series. The B-frame offers upgraded features and 25 percent more capacity in a 30 percent smaller footprint.
Is the BJL36015 HACR rated?
Yes. Like standard PowerPacT B-frame circuit breakers, this model carries an official HACR rating, making it fully approved for protecting heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment circuits.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
