Which panelboards are compatible with the EDB14020EPD breaker?
This E-frame bolt-on breaker is designed exclusively for use in Square D NF series panelboards. It cannot be installed in NQ, QO, or I-Line panelboards.
Does the EDB14020EPD provide Class A GFCI protection for personnel?
No. The EPD suffix indicates it is an Equipment Protection Device. It provides a 30mA ground fault trip threshold designed to protect machinery from damage, rather than the highly sensitive 4mA to 6mA threshold required for Class A personnel protection.
Can the EDB14020EPD be used on a 208Y/120V system?
No. According to Schneider Electric application guidelines, NF EPD circuit breakers require a 277V phase-to-ground voltage to properly power the ground fault monitoring circuitry. They are designed for 480Y/277V networks and are not suitable for 208Y/120V applications.
