Description

Engineered for commercial and industrial environments, the EDB36070 provides essential long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection for branch circuits. Designed with a bolt-on configuration, this breaker installs seamlessly into Square D NF panelboards. It comes equipped with aluminum lugs that accommodate a wide range of wire sizes, from 14-2/0 AWG copper to 12-2/0 AWG aluminum. With an interrupting capacity of 18 kAIC at 480Y/277VAC, it offers robust fault clearing and a Visi-Trip indicator.

What panelboards are compatible with the EDB36070?

This E-Frame breaker is designed exclusively for bolt-on installation in Square D NF series panelboards. It is not compatible with NQ or I-Line panelboards.

What is the difference between the EDB, EGB, and EJB series breakers?

The EDB, EGB, and EJB are all E-Frame breakers that fit NF panelboards, but they have different interrupting ratings. The EDB is the standard interrupting tier, while the EGB and EJB offer higher interrupting capacities for systems with higher available fault current.

What is the recommended lug tightening torque for this breaker?

For the aluminum lugs on this breaker, the recommended tightening torque is 34.5 lb-in for 14 to 10 AWG wire, and 49.6 lb-in for 8 AWG to 2/0 AWG wire.

Can the EDB36070 be reverse fed?

Yes, Square D EDB series breakers are suitable for reverse feed applications. This allows them to be used as main breakers or back-fed branch breakers in compatible NF panelboards.

Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments

Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.

International Shipping
